She asked to be taken off the DNP list and have her artwork restored.
She got off the dnp list, seems. I’m just wondering where this all came from. I thought everything was deleted?
Yeah, it looks like all her stuff is all of a sudden back.
It’s back now.
Indeed.
To be fair though, I can’t find BluntWhiskey on the DNP list. Do they go by any other names?
Aye, but them’s the breaks.
I just did, still while I understand leaving the fanbase is fine, I get tired of artists being all delete-happy when they do… I’d like to at least be able to see some of their art to remember them by.
Not trying to be selfish, I respect the artist’s wishes, but I think that just makes their fans really sad, not being able to see their art which they enjoy, or being able to remember said artist, and such.
It’s because of this, if I ever left DA, or this site, I’d still leave my artwork up. I’m not a good artist, but I know some people who like my stuff, and would be disapointed if I got rid of everything.
Check the one other image under her tag.
That’s a shame, I wonder why. :(
I like their art.
Yeah, I don’t get why said groups don’t hold Ken Penders to the same standards they do Ian… The current admin of the Anti-Archie-Sonic club on DA is a Penders’ fan, and told me he thinks the comic should get rid of Robotnik/Eggman as the villain, (as Ken Penders wanted to do originally after “Endgame”) and replace him with Mephiles…
(Yeah, that would please many fans… We all know how beloved that game he was from was…)
I admit I’m kinda a Penders fan to, and I like some of Ken’s works/directions/characters in the series, but I can admit Ken isn’t perfect, and I can even call him out on screwing up the comic canon with his legal crap, and such.
I also think current writer Ian Flynn has more knowledge about the Sonic franchise, what Sonic should be like, about the SatA.M. show, what the Sonic fanbase is like, and such more-so then Ken did. (Ken often ignored other plot-points, characters and such, just ‘cause another writer wrote/created them, and such. He even said he never read a single issue Ian wrote. Kinda tells me how “passionate” Ken is about the Sonic comic.)
I saw some Archie/Ian-hater on DA ignorantly claim Ken has more respect for SatA.M. and Princess Sally then Ian does, which is hilariously ironic, ‘cause Ken wanted to permanently kill her off, and get rid of her. (And not only do that, but replace her with an O.O.C. evil robot duplicate for a year, or so… So he’d have robo-Sally act like a bitch to everyone, and such… Doubt most Sally-fans would’ve enjoyed that.)
Yeah, those groups were brought up a lot during the /v/ storytime. They’re wackjobs who worship Ken Penders and his godawful writing.
I love the Sonic comics, but surprisingly the comics are getting alot of hate from SatA.M. fans on DeviantArt. I find that quite odd, and ironic, considering it’s the only canon left that’s keeping the beloved SatA.M. characters the “Freedom Fighters” alive still. If the comic ends, then their chances of ever returning in a new TV show, or something are gone.
Some were even oddly accusing Ian Flynn (a writer for the comics sense 2006) of “hating” SatA.M., or it’s characters which is ridiculous, because he’s used the SatA.M. characters ALOT in his years working on the comic, (some SatA.M.-haters used to bash him for using them “to much”) and he has put in references/nods, and even fan in-jokes to that show.
(Like Nicole’s hover camera-bot looking like the ones Robotnik used from the old show, not to mention the obscure “margerine” joke.)
Ian’s one of the only writers who even watched that show, and was a fan of it from what I hear.

That’s kinda funny, though even in the comics, she has a thick southern accent like AJ.
I’ll let ya in on a little secret…
…it is the hat
It’s the hat, I say.
Sweet! All it needs now is Sonic the Comic from the UK.
Yeah, Mario has better games, but Sonic had the better expanded universe.
Speaking of which, my subscription to the comic has yet to finalize since I got one about a month ago. Darn wait times killin’ me. ;.;
And if I may add, background pony, you can find the very same AMAZING story and even art in the Archie Sonic the Hedgehog comics! I know I did! The comics took off where the show fell short and flourish to this day as the longest-running comic series based off a videogame.
If you know how to torrent, someone onlinie has digital copies of almost all the comics produced between 1994(the start basically) and 2011 I think. He also has an installer for the program to read it!
Here’s the link (if you know what to do):

It wasn’t Sega’s fault that the old 1993 SatA.M. show was cancelled, it was ABC’s.
Actually, it was a combination of poor ratings, (also due to the show getting prempted alot for sports) competing with Power Rangers on a rival network, and the ABC network Saturday Morning schedule getting a new prez who didn’t care for the show actually. So there numerous causes, according to writer/editor for the show Ben Hurst.
God damnit, SEGA, I wanted to see Snivley and Ixus Naugus team up!
I wouldn’t know.
Wasn’t there a bit about that sort of thing in an episode of Archer?
Don’t think about it too hard.
