i like to say that either the nanny did well on her job that her cutie mark was something bot invented at the time or equestrian’s invented modernist baby bottles earlier than humans

War Changes everything except itself. Cause, war never changes.
So what your say is that, war changes everything?
Not to mention how the Crusades helped European nations discover new commodities from the east, which inspired them to explore the world, eventually leading to the discovery of the Americas.
@Master Fox
Master Fox has a point there. If you look back on our own technology we never really make any real major jumps in technology until a big war breaks out. I.E. the USA was more or less the same from the Civil War until WWI broke out and then the status quo stayed again until technology got pushed foward by WWII. After that all of our technological advances were almost totally driven by the cold war until that ended and then “the war on terror” after that.
Since Equestria is more or less a peaceful nation they only come up with technology as needed hence the hodgepodge of 18th century (their housing), the 1920’s (trains and hydroelectricity), and the 1950’s (16mm film, rudimentary video games).
It’s not that it’s stuck in a perpetual technological dark age. They just have no reason to advance too far. That and discord likes to fuck stuff up.
That Equestria is stuck in a perpetual technological dark age? I imagine it’s like the Imperium. They’re using ancient technology without any real idea as to how it works, or how to maintain it.
I’m not even sure what kind of implications to draw from that.
