Just because you have a celebrity that likes MLP doesn’t make your guy’s fandom any better. You can have Robert Downey Jr like Steven Universe but that doesn’t make their fanbase any better.

The action-crazy 80s gave us loads of lovable mooks, yes, but for some reason I can’t imagine Sylvester Stallone pulling off a Michael Caine role. I mean there’s no doubt he would TRY his heart out, like he did on the Get Carter remake, but it just isn’t going to be as good. Hollywood needs less lesbian, more thespian.

To be fair, Stern meant an “A-list” celebrity. De Lancie is more respected amongst us geeks and is associated with a classic science-fiction show rather than “big-name” motion pictures.

I don’t get why we need a celebrities to legitimize us. A lot of people (here at least) say they don’t give a fuck about what Howard Stern says, but I’m sure if he came out and identified himself as a Brony those same people would be like “we luv you Howard Stern your opinion totally matters” and point to him as an example of the kinds of people this show can bring in.
