Description
It just occurred to me that I missed this blogs 2nd anniversary by two days.
Hoo boy, its been a wild ride so far. I remember making this blog (And officially joining the fandom after being a fan of the show for about a year.) on a whim two years ago during an all nighter in college. I could not draw very well back then, but I kept trying anyway.
I remember choosing Spike because I thought he was the most interesting of the main characters. As the only male, Spike had a lot to prove compared to the Mane 6, and not only worked well as the straight man of the group, but also was a great source of lore for the show in general. There are so many ways to explore a character like his, and I wanted to take a crack at it myself.
Things have changed a lot since then. When I actually managed to update, I could see the great leaps in my work over the course of those two years. I have met many people during that, many of which I consider to be some of my closest friends now. Heck, Ive run many, many ask blogs before, but it seems this is the only one that really stuck.
I like to think that there is a reason for that. And I hope to find that reason by continuing his story for months, if not years to come.
To all of the friends Ive made through this blog: Id like to thank you guys for tolerating me bothering you all for pointers and questions all of this time, and just being good people. Despite this fandoms flaws, Ive never met as close knit of a group as this, and I am glad to be a part of it.
And to the nearly 3000 readers that still look forward to this blogs updates: Thank you for sticking with me for so long. Im sorry for taking so long to get back into the swing of things, and I hope that the story will not disappoint.
Happy anniversary guys. I love the dickens out of every one of you. And with the next season just around the corner, I hope you enjoy this blog for as long as it runs, and always know that Spike will always be best pony.
Cheers!
