Time to get back to that usual news world. I do love new episode mornings.
Have you ever watched Gurren Lagann, Gunbuster, Evangelion, Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, or Little Witch Academia? Then you have already been exposed to this guy’s work. Yoh Yoshinari is a Japanese animator who has done a boatload of stuff. Only recently did people realize he has also dabbled in the world of equines too. The guy has been busting these out on his semi-secret Pixiv account under the name “Maru” for a while now in the year leading up to the release of the show in Japan. Quite a few, if not all of these have made their way into drawfriend posts here on EQD without any of us even realizing it.
This would most likely explain the pony references in Little Witch. He does kinda run the thing.
I know we have a huge anime following here on EQD, So it’s cool to see someone who has done some of the great ones silently lovin the pony on the side. Here’s to hoping he keeps it up, though not if it interrupts progression on Little Witch Academia, that pilot episode had me hooked right from the start.

Yeah, I really don’t get how anybody enjoys it, especially after the movies were so good.
I think a lot of it (people enjoying the show) is just waifuism

Actually, it was quite awful. I watched all 25 episodes + the 2 specials that came before, and it turned out to be as lackluster as it was uninspired. They can even make a 2nd season considering the poor ending they gave.
Although looking at the post date Seth must have been talking about the films which were great.
It’s not really “softly on the wind” so much as “directly in your face from the mouths of angry, laughing haters who want make sure you know how upset their enemies are”.
Because through all of 4chan’s bitching about how ponies are for faggots and manchildren, they never stop to consider that they will eventually have to eat those words hardcore in the (likely) event that someone they hold in high regard comes forward with the terrible, dirty secret of liking something they don’t like. Having concrete proof that they’re hypocrites in ways they can’t easily ignore and wave away with bans, trolling, or doxxing makes them frustrated.
Completely agreed.
Btw,Episode 2 is in the works right now.
So far, they are working the episodes through Kickstarter events to collect money for the production budget.
Sure,I personally would have liked a full season series, but it seems that they are overly busy with Kill la Kill right now (another series I like, but the style is a bit different from LWA) and considering it’s Studio Trigger’s first long show, they must have their hands full at the moment.
There’s still a chance we’ll get a LWA series in the future, but for now,I’m really happy with the episodes like these.

Seriously, we need more anime like that nowadays.
