Even if what OP is saying were true, it’d be really tacky for a brony to post a comment like that. Our actions should speak for themselves.
 
And, in all honesty, our actions seem to be saying that we’re little different from every other sizable fandom out there. C’est la vie.

Now, if it’s done by artists such as ss2sonic, who know what they’re doing, they get upvotes and even upvotes galore.
 
Also, there are certain individuals on this site who seem to add a couple Downvote to everything they see. Especially in those popular images.

So, since we’re even, can we go out and get some coffee and some pain-killers?

Once upon a time, there were a bunch of grown-ass adults who fell completely in love with this happy, rainbow-laden cartoon about ponies and relished in how much it warmed their hearts, and for a brief flash of time the community as a whole around that show was full of truly happy, kind souls. Even in the middle of /co/.
 
But then time went on, things happened and the show exploded in popularity. Then very quickly the community as a whole became pretty much, like, the exact same as every other community (except with arguably more content being produced as long as the show’s a ‘phenomenon’ of sorts… and maybe a bit more giving with charities and stuff? But that would be the same in ANY community if only a few people would be willing to organize such things…)
 
It’s still a nice, friendly and lovely community if you know where to look and there are lots of wonderful people to meet and things to do away from the drama and silliness, but yeah, overall it’s definitely become “the same as every other community”. But please, Akhie as well as some of you in the comments here, do not call kindness a “schtick” or “facade”. Some of us truly are kind, or at least strive to be, and I think that a community around such a heartwarming show does kind of promote that a bit, you know? It is not a facade, even in the worst of cases I’d say the people who have trouble staying kind simply have sensitivity issues they need to work through first.

I try to ignore those drama queens. But it get difficult to do so when these few people cause rhetoric among other people all across the fandom, and it get everywhere. That’s what’s annoying.
 
Especially when these wretched imbecile vocal minorities pull that “Derpygate” type of Bullsh- that actually affected the show.

As much hate as this pony fandom has, we are more tolerant than most other fandoms, at this point. Yes, there are those wretched elitists in our fandom like any other fandoms. BUT, we tend to be more welcome to crossovers of almost any kind with open arms…. But most(not all) other fandoms don’t seem to be quite accepting of ponies or other crossovers? I guess different fandoms have different temperaments.

You know what I’ve noticed about Bronies? They’re exactly like every other group of fans in the world: a random assortment of people united one interest that they all share, and are every bit as varied between normal and fucked up as people in general.
