I doubt that they will kill off Celestia, and even if they did, it would most likely come from a “My time has come to an end” speech.

Twilight and Celestia get into a little tiff over her wanting to continue practicing dark magic, and she accidentally her mentor, which leads her to have a psychotic break upon realisation, and the rest of the season’s ‘story episodes’ are about her friends getting Holy Empress Sparkle to remember her real self by utilising old friendship lessons upon her.

Guys, check yourselves before you wreck yourselves. It was already heavily implied that Twilight would be seeing the past, when Celestia and Nightmare Moon had their battle. It was implied that Celestia got the shit kicked out of her the first time before she used the Elements, so this is probably what they’re seeing.
 
That, or they killed her off without ever actually doing anything with her.

I think the art looks too good for it to be real.

This is just like what happened in S2 where Luna was falling or some crap.
