Til now I’d actually thought he was her mother. (Maybe it was the Fausticorn colors.)
Thanks for the info. About “who would name their kid that?”; there have been other odd names (Filthy/Stinkin’ Rich).
Yep,I’m glad he embraced Long Play.
33 1/3-LP can serve as the stage name,just like Vinyl’s “DJPon3”.
I actually just remembered that you could find some Star Trek: TAS nudes he drew. Online. In places.
Thanks! I didn’t know that.
TEst.
I’m amazed it hasn’t happened yet.
The brother was shown in issue #11 (Vinyl’s standing on him as she gets her CM), but not named in any way. Before #12 came out, Price did confirm he was her brother, not father, so people tried to come up with a name, and Smooth Beat was the one that took then.
And then #12 came out, that canonically gave us “33 1/3-LP”, and that’s where Long Play came from (because who would name their kid 33 1/3-LP, even in the ponyverse??)
Looking at fanart in general when you work for the comic is just a bad idea…
I approve it.
Glancing at the tags: where’d ‘Smooth Beat’ come from?
Price gets around.
He also draws Marvel pinups that are, often at times, rather NSFW.
He’s more than used to seeing questionable stuff.
33 1/3 LP = a standard sized Long Play record.
Of sibling characters.
This probably won’t end well.
In terms of vinyl, they were classified by the rotations-per-minute they were to be played at - early ones were 78, but as vinyl printing technology improved, it went to 45 and 33 1/3.
Soon, many vinyls were done at 33 1/3 , but this including singles and full albums, so the industry adopted the term “Long Play” for the album/longer-length forms, and abbreviated the format “33 1/3-LP”.
