I think she was gliding more than flying. Although a scene after the credits where she realizes, “Wait, I don’t know how to fly” and she crashed would’ve been priceless.
However, I don’t think she’s flying perfectly here judging by her closed eyes.
Consistency has never been the show’s strongest suit. Besides, Twilight was flying in a musical number, so it’s not quite as “real” as other scenes.
I don’t think she will be flying perfectly in the first Ep. Maybe by the end of the premier yes but not in the first part. As we can see here 451593 she is still struggling to stay in the air.
