This is my contest entry for :iconbaryonsweep: “Mega Contest of Villainy”.
The objective was to make a unique villain. We had the choice to make a villain based off of a TV show or make up a random villain of our own… I chose to make a villain for My Little Pony since I love drawing mlp related art and I also have had an idea for an episode in my head for a long time… I figured this contest was a good opportunity to introduce the bad guy of the episode, Night Terror.
This scene depicts Night Terror who has managed to put Tia in a terror filled coma. While under Night Terror’s dark spell Princess Celestia cannot wake up and therefore the sun cannot rise… which is the key to Night Terror’s plan to engulf the word in a state of permanent night terrors. Not only did putting Tia under stop the sun from rising, but it also rendered the Elements of Harmony useless… or so Night Terror had thought. While attached to the princess not only could Night Terror induce horrible nightmares upon Tia but he could also wander about her memories and thoughts. There he saw six mares and how they defended Equestria from previous dark forces… using the Elements of Harmony! He did not realize that Princess Celestia was no longer the wielder…
Night Terror is shocked at this revelation. If those mares were to confront him his plan would fail for sure. He had to stop them before they stopped him. In a state of panic Terror sends his nightmare minions after the six mares to suffer the same fate as Princess Celestia.
What happens next? I have it all in my head but I need to write the actual story - Maybe I will do that sometime in the future but this contest is dedicated to villains so the story will have to wait for a later day.

About fucking time one makes a pic with Luna getting her ass kicked and then having her now kicked ass handed to her ina silver plate. Butt monkey Celestia pictures need to stop.
So much for creativity.
Following that line another great villain in my mind would be Kefka from Final Fantasy 6. Just by the sheer ruthlessness of how he accomplished his goal of ruling the world from poisoning a town of innocents, to acquiring the power of a god and smiting millions who didn’t worship him and practically destroying the world in the process.

A villain needs a good motivation for why he/she is evil. Hell, you can have a villain thats evil “For the evulz”, but make him/her clever. Look at the Joker, or Discord, both of which are pretty much evil for the fuck of it, but it’s done in a clever way.
All this creature is, is “Lol evil cause red and crazy eyes”.
