Oh, don’t worry about a thing I said. I was only making a joke, like in that movie “Canadian Bacon” where they say Canadian beer sucks, and everyone beats them up, including the RCMP.  
I got in trouble with some of my peers in school for not being an Oiler’s fan or not particularly caring for hockey, though. Some people take it too far, but I’m pretty sure my high school experience isn’t valid for the whole population.

I was in Manitoba not terribly long ago and I asked if they were being serious when it seemed like a serious sport. I guess they just weren’t a sports family because they found it as odd as I did…
 
Some of those people HAD to be professional janitors at some point… Hardcore sweeping right there. Not many sports I know where it’s normal to yell words like that all the time.
 
Please don’t take offense though, it’s just something so different to me. I’ll be completely honest when I say you Canadians made me feel so welcome I truly didn’t know who to cheer for in the Olympics, Canada or the US. xD
