I still think that the canon baby-design, albeit redesigned for Baby Cakes, is terrible. Pound and Pumpkin Cake are still adorable, though.

I remember the massive butt-hurt this scene caused on 4chan. No one had any idea at the time what a baby pony would look like, and pretty much everyone decided that this thing was fugly. It wasn’t until “Baby Cakes” that baby ponies became acceptable to the fandom.
