They’re lawyers?
I love how sassy this little guy looks. To bad I can’t come up with something funny for him to say.
Well yeah, I wrote that. And if you actually read that, you would know that they are pretty important to their ecosystem.
And what has them not being hunters to do with anything?
I would recommend that you keep your human societal morals out of nature. It makes you look like a fool.
@Urishima
Vultures don’t hunt.
Also, this shit. Vultures aren’t just scavengers, they’re disgusting scavengers.
Also, the typical movie sound effect used for eagles is actually from the red-tailed hawk. Eagle calls are almost flutelike.
Lots of animals are, including humans. And all the stuff I mentioned below are reasons why they are important to the ecosystems hey are part of. Come to think of it, all species of an ecosystems are important.
Except for invasive species, they just fuck everything up.
Crashcourse Ecology, go and check it out.
They also have stomach acid that can corrode metal, they defecate on their own feet and legs to sterilize them AND because their crap can act as a coolant in the desert heat, they actually sterilize the ground around the cadavers they eat by shitting around them and thus limit the spreading of diseases and they are bald because having feathers in your head while sticking it into rotten carcases would create a wonderfull breeding ground for all kinds of nasty bacteria.
Their projectile vomit can actually be harmfull, but they don’t normally use that as a weapon, but to loose wheigt when they suddenly have to fly away.
Yeah, Vultures are pretty darn amazing. Gross, but amazing.
Bald eagles are also carrion feeders in the majority of their range*, but no one will ever depict them as villains like they do vultures.
*(the exception is in Alaska, where they prefer to catch live fish)
They’re scavengers and opportunists.
Because it’s easy to make a villain out of animals people generally consider ugly and unclean. Which is sad for vultures, considering they’re actually really cool and cool-looking.
They eat corpses and hover around the sick or near-dead. What else do you need to know?
vultures are very rarely aggressive and are timid to threats
