Rewatching and reeeeally listening for it, you can tell the switch: Override has a New York accent that goes back and forth from being slight to noticeably thicker.

more confusion. the filipino/tagalog dub used the override name but kept the japanese gender (the dub mixed and matched the names/terms from the US and japanese versions).

Voice casting is rather narrow overall in cartoons. Due to limited budgets and droduction rules. Not to mention consumer’s poor demands.

Beley’s performance has a little bit of a harder edge to it, but overall, it takes a very experienced ear to pick out the differences, to the point that it took four years after the show had aired for anyone to realize!”
 
Also, Override used to be a dude, ‘case anyone’s curious.
