To be fair the comics aren’t necessarily considered canon, and the book and comics fail to match up with each other anyway.
Still, it’s the Closest Thing We’ve Got.
That’s from one of the books that came out; I haven’t read anything saying that particular detail is considered canon to the show itself or if it will even come into play at some point.
Then you’ll just be known as that crazy girl who always had a strange fixation on being a princess.

Princess spells don’t work that way
The comic where Princess Celestia was distracted by Pinkie and instead, coronated an orange (i think) into a princess.
This. It’s just a cute and silly comic, not speculation on what could/should have been, not a penetrating exploration of the personalities of the characters involved.
But hey, if there’s one overriding brony characteristic stronger than clop, drama, or anything else, it’s overanalysis.
And the comic really doesn’t let the character traits of them bring a joke down.
Because she still got the princess she needed. Sunset’s emotional stability be damned.
