Boring relationships are the best kind.
I imagine a relationship between Rainbow Dash and her R63ed self would be less “unsatisfying” and more “destructive”. They’d be constantly competing with each other, and eventually it’d get… well… really bad.
Good. My R63 self would be fat with hairy legs.
Boring, maybe, but once the two of them opened up to each other (even if they’re the same person, I’m sure they’d still be nervous) then I think they’d be very happy anyway.

I think it would vary from person to person. Fluttershy would be best off with someone gentle and demure such as herself, but I can’t imagine people like Applejack or Rainbow Dash being (romantically) satisfied with their genderswapped selves.
