– Half-Life is a generic, completely unoriginal FPS. Actually that’s fairly true, it never was that good and it’s aged badly. and regardless, half-life has no relevance today anymore. oh…except for fanboys who won’t shutup about it.
 
– VALVe is extremely overrated. They didn’t deserve any of their awards or praise that they are “zomg amazun.” Steam is shit and the idea they listen to fans is purely a myth.
 
– Team Fortress 2: the ultimate overrated game, quite possibly of all time. it’s playerbase activity is immense, and it keeps getting updated. but popularity doesn’t equal quality, the people who play it mostly are fucking retards who have no idea what a good game looks like. Nevermind that the updates have made the game worse, not better. Valve stop putting in weapons and items that are OP or worthless. And stop fucking telling me I got this seasonal crate.

True…which is why I’ve moved away from shooters as of late, and there seems to be precisely nothing on the horizon (at least IMO) that hopes to even try to revolutionise/revitalise the genre.

Seriously though, i agree that Call of Duty unintentionally ruined the FPS genre for now, but that doesn’t change the fact that TF2 is also ruined. “Better than Call of Duty” is not a hard distinction to earn.

Denied…at least for me personally. Those things you mentioned, I don’t mind either way, because:  
A) It’s not Call of Duty,  
and B) It’s not fucking Call of Duty!

I’m pretty sure that what made the original TF2 great was the amount of refinement put into it and its “less is more” design principle. Hats definitely added tons of visual clutter to it, and new unlockable weapons make it harder and harder to know what you’re up against. So yes, hats and unlockable weapons did kill the game by bloating it to the point where it’s no longer enjoyable. Search your feelings, you know it to be true.

It’s a video game. Your mileage may vary on how much it entertains you. I’d still be playing it if I hadn’t had to remove Steam from my comp for technical reasons.

First of all, I never said anything about Half-Life and Valve, take those up with the people who actually said something about it.  
I never said TF2 “sucked” I just said it was an average game which is a bit grossly over-rated.  
I don’t care what people play, and if they like the game I won’t shun them for it, but don’t be a prick to people who don’t have the same opinions as you.  
It was just a simple sentence, it wasn’t even an insult towards the game, but…of course…Derpibooru takes it far out of proportion…why am I not surprised.
