I could actually see socialism working in Equestria. The only problem is that in a society as close to perfection as Equestria’s, there’d be no need for it.

Somehow I dont think the Element of Generosity would support forcing people to pay for others and fund a massive centralized bureaucracy.  
Kind of defeats the point of generosity.
