Your probably on an older Gingerbread ROM…  
I was just given a neused Galaxy Tab [P1000] 7” Tab. I updated this to Jellybean 4.1.2 and was greeted with that message. Sadly this POS only has 512MB of RAM in it so MLP runs like crap on it.
 
I’ve just downgraded to see if it still runs like sh– on Gingerbread 2.3.6. So far with mixed results. It still lags like a bitch, but at least it hasn’t hung yet. But as they say its still early days.
 
Can’t wait to see what happens One I get +5 Ponies on the Screen at once though. That’s where the proverbial SHTF in Jelly Bean too…

Perhaps it’s related to the social network components (which never actually worked properly, but still). With a lot of these social networking services you have to be (or more accurately, claim to be) 13 or older.

I’ve never even seen such an option on an android device. The equivalent is probably there somewhere, but they don’t make it obvious.

Perhaps it’s to collect data about the ages of people who play the game?

Because parents are idiots and let their idiot children run wild with unrestricted payment access.
