I love the fact that someone actually knows who those ponies are! :)
That’s a tough call. I’d say probably either Pinkie Pie or Fluttershy - Pinkie would be most eager to teach her of all her friends, but I think it would be amusing if Fluttershy were more confident underwater than her normally-bold friend. If in doubt, though, Azolla or Barbel would be good too.

That’s a point. It could be argued that she wasn’t strong enough to handle the current, but the way she was flailing didn’t look much like a good swimming technique to me.
(Or you can take my interpretation of that episode as a fanfic written by Rainbow Dash and later edited by her friends, but given who would have to be writing it, it still suggests she doesn’t handle water well.)
Anyway, looks like Rainbow needs some swimming lessons. Think you could do that as your next picture?
Well, she did almost drown in the Mare-Do-Well episode.
