Friends linked this to me, thought it was rather clever!
Still not too peachy on the black background in the original.

nevermind
Edited because: stupid
i bought a lot(ok maybe some)
including some old stuff i never thought i’d see again(like rome total war)
Well, I wasn’t buying anything from it, so I just got rid of it.
i usually deal with those problems the day i install steam
-updates done
-i remember something during installation or in the setting where you can turn off those stuff
-the confirmation code only happens when i use steam or install steam in another computer
-i never had the anti virus mess with steam happen to me not even in my old computer
Really? because I get…
“Hey! I wanna update!”
“Hey! We have a sale for some crappy game you never wanted in the first place!”
“Hey! I don’t recognize you! Go to your email and get this confirmation code!”
“Hey! Your antivirus software doesn’t like me!”
“Hey! Listen!”
really the worst i get is like every 4 months or so some big updates and pesters me to get it
nothing else
Hooray for you
what kind of alerts or things that supposed need to be installed?
i never have that problem
It’s one of those programs that never shuts up with it’s alerts. Also, I’m very off put by the sheer number of games demanding that I install it.
whats wrong with steam?
Please no. I like EA’s games, and would like to keep liking them without having to download Steam.
Better idea: Don’t lock their games to any software at all. But that’s not possible because of piracy, so I’ll take Origin, the less annoying of two evils.
you said it ^^
@TaraCallie
yeah they should just use steam
TF2 is the most fun I’ve ever had in any online game, ever, so I can’t say I agree with you there. Never have I seen a game that encourages teamwork so well and manages to have so many different strategies while still maintaining overall game balance.
Electronic Arts has a worse business model, but a strong library of games under their belt, due to owning DICE, Visceral, MAXIS and BioWare
yep
Tell me about it.
Tf2, half life are still good games no matter what though
but they have terrible sense of urgency
They’re still better than Electronic Arts, you gotta give them that.
Plus, you know, there’s the whole “Even though they said the game was in development 8 years doesn’t actually mean that it took 8 years to create the current build.” thing.
I mean, they’re slow as Internet Explorer running on a 1993 dial-up connection but at least their games are good.
It only ever get’s ugly because some (read: most) of Valve’s fanbase revere them like a god.
Like Valve, fine. But they aren’t perfect. They’re not infallible, and they shouldn’t be deified the way they are.
The results are more due to Steam and it’s potential as a marketing tool for developers. Simply being on the front page of Steam is ensured sales.
They’re an awful developer, but a brilliant retailer.
but can you argue with the results of their incompetence?
Oh shit, this is gonna get ugly.
