why does everyone keep saying that green coated mare is sweet cream scoops, sweet cream is the mare in the kissing booth and has a ice cream cutie mark this mare is clearly somepony else she shows up again in the canterlot high arc.

@Starswirl @Silver Strength I base the idea of him being the primary owner of Sweet Apple Acres on the original pitch bible Lauren Faust made for the show; in it, he was the legal owner, yet let Applejack do most of the administrative work because she has more social skills than he does (what with his shyness and all) while he does the hands-on work. As for the finances, Applejack is the one who, in Applebuck Season, claims that Big Macintosh is trying to muddy the issue (of her being able to buck all the trees) with his “fancy mathematics”. That implies to me that Applejack may not be as adept at math, and thus the farm’s finances and accounting, as Big Macintosh is.

#1 is hard to argue; the scripts make precious little indication either way, and the art style is too simple to clearly indicate attractive or unattractive features. To me he looks dopey, and I find lumbering bulk repulsive.
 
Canon clearly asserts #2, and generally contradicts #3 as Starswirl noted. The farm is constantly struggling in finances (and primarily Applejack’s besides) so #4 is hard to support.
 
For #5, Big Mac is clearly not a dudebro, but he’s much too passive to be described as ‘cordial.’ He works tirelessly, but outside of that he’s shy and passive.

I can see all of that except for the “mostly running and owning the farm” part. It’s actually Applejack who makes the decisions- unless Granny Smith voices hers.

@Silver Strength Well, most likely because:  
1.) He’s a good looking stallion  
2.) He’s a bachelor  
3.) It’s generally implied that while Applejack is the “face” of Sweet Apple Acres, it’s Big Macintosh who actually runs and mostly owns the place.  
4.) Given both the sheer size of Sweet Apple Acres and the fact that it does seem to do fairly well business-wise (enough to allow Applejack to go on all these random adventures), any mare who could marry Big Macintosh would be able to get a piece of that action along with it.  
5.) Big Macintosh isn’t a dudebro. He’s cordial and respectful towards mares and stallions. In many ways he is emotionally and physically the ideal mate most mares could dream of.

I like how everyone fell in love with Mac due to massive head trauma, except for Cheerilee who actually went back to normal after a head on collision.
 
It doesn’t explain Sweetcream Scoops though, or why she’s letting these mares muscle in on her turf.
