You know, all the negative posts to this pic just proves to me one thing: Liberalism is a mental disorder.

Here’s a rather relevant quote from the late, great George Carlin:
“So the next time some asshole says to you ‘I have a right to my opinion!’ say ‘Oh yeah? Well I have a right to my opinion, and my opinion is you have no right to your opinion.’
THEN SHOOT THE FUCK, AND WALK AWAY!

Seriously though, why does this have a negative score?

I don’t know whether that means my writing style is surprisingly inconsistent or you’re just surprisingly bad at pattern recognition. I definitely wasn’t trying to seem like different posters.

Wow, you are good. I thought those bgs were completely unrelated to each other. Except for 2 or 3 posts, which sounded the same.

Just under half are made by logged-in users posting anonymously. The rest are full anon. (most of the logged-in anon is me)

I suppose not, since i don’t know many people here well enough to be able to discern who is who. I don’t know them well enough to recognize their writing style.

But i can say that, statistically, many of those bgs are actual users. It has to be.

People sure are afraid of getting their names stained with bullshit, seeing how many of them post as BGs.

Just because Morgan Freeman has a delightful soothing voice does not automatically make anything he says correct, or applicable to a given situation. If you believe that something is actually causing harm then you have an ethical obligation to actually do something about it - telling people to just ignore what they don’t like is not an acceptable response. If people don’t like (as an example) the way Russia is criminalising homosexuality and persecuting its gay population, the correct course of action is not to ignore Russia and pretend like everything’s fine, it’s to denounce Russia and take measures to make Russia stop being such a shithole. Now you can argue about rape culture and whether or not APM can be considered responsible for bad things happening, but you can’t argue that someone who genuinely believes that a bad thing is happening should just sit by and do nothing about it.

Quoting the famous words of Morgan Freeman; if you don’t like something, “just stop talking about it.”

If no one listens to what Pinkiepony OR this anon has to say, the problem will cease to be and become irrelevant. Idealists and troublemakers only grow if we let them, and how they grow is acknowledgement.

Then, for the most part, we seem to be on the same page. We recognize that the “bad guy” here, are the molestia-haters. Let’s just leave it at that.

Such an odd response to my post that seems to believe I for DWM and is quite insulting in language. But I guess I will respond.

  • “Oh, so you think they can take down JJ’s blog because it’s Tumblr’s microphone? Well, by that logic, Fanfiction.net could take down any story I write because that’s FanFiction.net’s microphone. Way to go, dummy.”

They can take down any story they want to. It is FanFiction.nets microphone. They CHOOSE not to just like Tumblr so far is CHOOSING not to take down Ask Princess Molestia.

  • “By your logic, since JJ’s blog is “obscene” to you, it should be taken down.”

Please reread my post. I literally said that said I hate it when people try to shut down fiction because it doesn’t meet their fancy.

I dislike the DWM movement because it is bullying and against free expression. It just isn’t breaking any laws by asking that Tumblr take it down because the site belongs to Tumblr.

Thread Starter - The evil council continuation

this argument failed to prove that one can’t campaign against something or can’t contest the first amendment, the priest and the atheist for example to stay out of dwm question.

A Christian can legally preach at a street corner, if an atheist walk by and call him a liar he is also within his right. In fact the atheist can even start a campaign trying to convince the government to make an exception to the first amendment for religion (with no guaranty of the government doing it),he can say that everyone who belive him is stupid (wiht no guaranty of them changing their opinion just to look smart in his eyes), he can convince a lot of people to go bother the Christian so he’ll give up its preaching (but that close borderline to the law).

The limit to what the atheist can do is go beyond the law to make the Christian stop like beating him, harassing him(like when the third example goes too far), doing the same first too thing to his listener, trying to force the government to apply his second amendment exception demand with criminal activity or menace of criminal activity, and so on.

So as much as I can’t stand the dwm movement anymore, I’m sadly force to admit that they have the right to call us everything they want without reasonable proofs and they have the right to want a tumblr to be censored as long as they don’t do their 100 reports action.

Nobody is saying that your baby-raping poem should be banned (at least, not in America; there’s certainly other places in the world where it would be, but we’re harping on about first amendments here, so that’s not really relevant). But, otoh, you can’t go up to someone’s poetry recital and thrust your babyraping poem at them and demand that they read it to the crowd. You can’t force them to say something that they don’t want to say. It is not hypocritical of them to be perfectly happy reading out their pleasant poem about sunshine and rainbows but balk at the idea of reading a poem about baby rape. (The analogy here, in case it’s hard for you to follow, is that a given website is allowed to choose what it wants to host, and cannot be forced to host content that it does not want to, for whatever reason it doesn’t want to host it.)

You, on the other hand, are perfectly free to start your own poetry recital, and read your baby-raping poem there, and nobody can stop you doing that. It’s your poetry and your recital. Nobody’s forcing you to say something you didn’t want to say. (See, you can run your own website and host whatever you like on it. Some other website can’t come along and force you to take down some content just because they disagree with it.)

@Silk Garrote
Yeah, nobody’s surprised. At first I assumed he was trying to be deliberately inflammatory but I’m starting to worry he actually believes what he’s saying, which is ludicrously extremist and bizarre.
