“UGGHH!! COME IN!!” She roared quickly forcing down the tears and sadness and putting on her Captain face.
The door opened and hoof steps entered the room.
“Well,” Spitfire grunted as she began to turn around to face the door. “What do yo-“ She stopped and her tongue went lame as tears began to form again.
Soarin’ was standing, trying his best to smile, but it was hard considering the large bouquet of flowers he held in his mouth.
“I, I don’t understand…” Spitfire finally got out.
“Easy,” he mumbled as he set the flowers at Spitfire’s hooves. “You’ve been great lately, you’ve trusted me, giving me space, and letting sort things out for myself. You even let Dash in the Academy. I knew what you were gonna ask me, you always ask me…well, you normally tell me every year at about this time what we’re doing for hearts and hooves day. I just wanted, at least once to find out what it would be like if I asked you out for Hearts and Hooves day.”
Spitfire closed the distance between them and wrapped a fore hoof around his neck and hugged him tightly so she couldn’t see her crying. However Soarin’ could hear her sobbing and immediately felt guilty.
