In Journey to the West, when Tangzang chant the incantation, that headband on the Monkey King’s head will shrink and squeeze his head, it won’t kill him since immortal but still cause an excruciating pain.

Part of it is the hat. Part of it is because AJ and Dash play off each other naturally. Part of it is my desire to draw all M6 ponies at least once before I start repeating characters this NATG season.
 
Speaking of hats: poster, could you please replace this file with the updated one on my DA page? The ear appearing outside the brim of the hat was bugging me.

Dash as Wukong I get it since both are cheeky and brash. Plus deviant in their early personality.  
But AJ as Xuanzang I can’t see the connection. Is it because they both are honest?
