Yeah it does sell that quite easily. I originally came up with the two magic horns because, well, he is always depicted with a pair of horns on his head anyways and it’s been shown he can use them to blast things in a manner similar to Tirek or pretty much any unicorn/alicorn that and pretty much every version where he has three horns he looks unbelievably stupid. So there’s not really a point to him having another horn when he already has two. Still though, I’d love to see him in MLP wrecking some shit and pretty much having to be banished or the ponies having to make friends with cybertronians, that would be a pretty epic episodes though, say the power of the Matrix being poured in through the power of the mane six to banish Unicron who is so insanely powerful that he cannot be defeated any other way. Would also love to see how they would have discord react, he’s probably sober up and take the whole thing in absolute seriousness.  
Of course I’d also like to see them have a setup where Twilight accidentally teleports herself to the city where My little pony tales takes place and then have to trek through the G1 G3 settings meeting new friends including different interpretations of her old friends, a small group of humans living in the pony world or another portal to the Human world, a few other Alicorn princesses like Dazzleglow and of course eventually reuniting all of the different lands that lay beyond Equestria, and have each one with their own sets of rulers who are peacefully co-existing with the others. Would be interesting to have them setup the G3 world as the land that the equestrian ponies migrated from as mentioned in hearths warming eve which isn’t that far fetched considering the cities all have names identical to those from the episode, Pony land is the place Tirek and Scorpan came from and to which Scorpan returned as mentioned in Twilights Kingdom, they could do a whole lot by tying in the series like that but leave it to only specials that they bring in the other generations of the show, And I’ve gotten completely off track talking about things I would like to see happen in the show.

Both sound interesting, to be honest. Really sells the “This is a being greater than a god” image. To paraphrase Galactus from Marvel vs Capcom 3: “If Celestia is a god, then what shall we call Unicron?”

Which one? The double horned alicorn or the aligoaticorn? Because both would fit him, of course I would love to see them use him in the show. I imagine his Cutie mark would be his planet form devouring an entire world.

Actually he’d be a double horned alicorn, either that or more of a aliGoaticorn, after all a Goat would be more fitting as he eats everything, has two horns, and a goatee.
