Just one thing to add. The line in panel 4 (“Courageous, high-spirited, a clean-cut match!! Applejack!!!”) is a reference to the line a certain character (Midorikawa Nao) says in Smile Precure while transforming. http://prettycure.wikia.com/wiki/Midorikawa_Nao
I don’t watch Precure so I don’t know much about Nao, but from what I read, she’s tough, has a strong sense of justice, and isn’t particularly “girly”. Seems to fit AJ pretty well.
