That’s odd, why there’s a “mulatto?” tag?
 
From what I can recall, it literally means “mule.” “Mulatto” is a like social class label for African-European mixed people in Colonial Haiti and other New World colonies in the 17th-18th century.
 
So what’s next “Zambo?” I just learned it’s old term for people with Native American and African heritage.  
In this case, it’s a mix between a Zebra and a Buffalo.
