i think travis wrote the whole synchronization while del toro wrote the last half at the end of the film since travis draft didn’t had the whole the rift with aliens like in the final movie.

If I remember correctly, the movie itself brought up the thing about physical problems of synchronization, and then kindly forgot about it.

And after all, Spike can always assume his pose from early merchandize.
