@dt
I’m not sure you understand what “art theft” is.
When you give credit to the original artist, it may be an unauthorized edit, but it’s not art theft.
The original artist may then request to take the edit down, and that will be done, no problem.
Anyway, unless the artist explicitly denies them, all the edits are considered legit.
“Art theft” is when you blatantly copy other people’s work and you don’t give any credit. Example.
@dt
Honestly I don’t give a shit about the vast majority of art theft.
If someone is charging money for their art, then copying it could well cause them to lose out on sales, but if they’re giving it away for free then nothing is lost. When you copy someone’s work the original remains intact and they can still do whatever they want with it. In fact, the whole of human civilisation is built upon copying and improving the ideas of others.
>Also, I’m sorry but I’m not very familiar with the admin practices on furry porn boards.
You mean you are not familiar with simple content ethics on every image board then, right? e621 just uses the same standards. Oh wait, did I just imply that some disgusting furry porn board (pony porn isn’t furry, right-right? :3) has a better standards and ethics than pretentious pony board?
You are saying it like if I was wrong. Imagine this situation happening on e621? Can you? I cna’t. Only on derpibooru. Only on pony^W brony site. Says a lot about “fanbase”, keke.
To be fair, derpibooru does A LOT of art theft. Not just the art theft tag, how about every pregnant edit, and every meme we post. But when an admin’s work is used and the rules are different. When other people work is stolen, eh who cares.
Doesn’t make what cuteosphere did okay, but let’s not pretend like we give a shit about art theft now.

>since you lacking anything of value to say, you have to come up with personal remarls?
I’m not sure how did you manage to confuse me being sarcastic with being upset. Perhaps, since you lacking anything of value to say, you have to come up with personal remarls? Aw, that’s cute. Middle school, but cute.
Either way, I hope this won’t be deleted, I just started to feel the fun, Would be a shame if it did end so quickly.

>t is my greatest wish that, at some point, fan artists realize that when they draw art of trademarked characters, that it really isn’t their art. By default it automatically belongs to the company that has trademarked the characters. That means you can’t sell it or technically post it anywhere with the company’s express permission.
>It might remain as a monument to her aching anus for as long as derpibooru exists. It’s happened before with others.
More like a monument of how childish and infantile administration and, well, bronies overall.

Godo thing admin was sane enough to realize to do not use the same argument for his copied/traced work, right?
>So in other terms, she stole the admin’s art
>admins’ art
There guise I made an original artwork, I put so much effort in drawing it plz donut steel:

So that’s why I continue to laugh at all these DNP lists on various sites, like these artists actually think they have any real, legal power over art they draw of trademarked characters. Because they don’t. It is solely, and I mean solely, in the good graces of Hasbro that we are even continued to post art on sites like this AT ALL.
