Pony is awesome good thing for fun time everybody.
I like fun, fun is good, ponies are fun, or at least should be fun
I mean that songs are one of the first things are done after the script is locked.
I come to this board because I love ponies, ad ponies make me happy. Sure, some things haven’t been the best, but let’s not take this too seriously, yes? Let’s try having fun.
@Der_Fur_Shur
Music is one of the first things that is done after the script is “locked” (finalized), along with voice acting the lines. The songs are animated after they are recorded.
All other background music is recorded in post-production.
Episodes are also worked on concurrently. Multiple stages of multiple episodes are being worked on at any one time. It’s possible they’re just recording lines for the finale, too, After songs and lines are recorded comes storyboarding, and then animation.
In TV animation, it’s not uncommon to have the season still in production when the season starts airing. Though, if is true that Season 4 won’t start until winter, I wouldn’t be surprised if the entire season were done by then. (animation and post-prod work)
It’s always hilarious when an anonymous coward capslocks at named users to shut up.
@Background Pony
“>implying…” makes you sound like a paintchip-eating twelve year old 100% of the time, True Fact.
@Background Pony
Yeah, if you don’t know in advance that you’re going to have funding for a full season– and I would’nt for a moment put it past Hasbro to be that stupid– it makes perfect sense to produce your premiere and finale episodes first, so that if you get budget-ganked halfway through, you can still go out on a high note.
No.
Isn’t that what I just said?
It’s been a bit of a standard practice for shows with definite season endings to make both the beginning and the ending first due to possible budget problems later on which would make it look like shit otherwise. Anime is the main target of this (or at least was) but Western Cartoons also suffer with this to a degree and adapted.
As for the rest of your comments… meh.
I KNOW! I’m definitely anticipating this season…. mostly because there’s no telling where it’s gonna go
I’m super excited for Season 4, and I can’t wait for what they’ll tease tomorrow (or technically speaking, later today).
Judging by the show’s track record, the writing is done completely out of order for the most part, except for the Season openers and finales which are generally done first.
All that aside, the order in which the music is produced and completed is completely separate from the writing, so it’s possible that writing for the show is still very much in full swing.
>Implying I’ve liked every single thing the show’s created and think everything it creates is flawless.
But you’re right, this argument is stupid. I’ll shut up now.
Just don’t expect the same from Klonoa.GIVE THIS BP A MEDAL.
Also, it doesn’t matter what happens, because I know for a fact you will still claim it is the best thing ever for reasons I would biased only if I wanted to make an example of an understatement, and he will still claim is the most glorious shit since was invented because of all these highly convoluted reasons.
I guess what I’m getting at: BOTH OF YOU SHUT UP, DAMN IT.
Interesting perhaps to only me, but meh.
I’ll bet you’ll look like a complete idiot when it happens.
Of course that’s hardly a change from your current status.
You were five minutes too late
Too late.
Also inb4 the river of cynicism.
So Dan is confirmed for most prepared in the crew then I suppose
Ingram’s joked around before that he gets to hear people respond to his music almost exactly a year after he wrote it.
