Does this whole expand thing count for the sonic archie series? Because I don’t think this would happen in the comics. After all, Ian Flynn is the writer for both the Sonic Archie comics, and The Megaman Archie comics.
 
Though he may get a lot of hate due to how the dialogue and logic is in the story arcs, I could give less of a shit about what people think of him. But I’m getting off topic.
 
The point is: A different writer means possible changes of personalities of characters.
 
So this means that there is just no chance of any homosexual relationships happening in the Sonic The Hedgehog comics, or the Sonic Universe comics.
 
The only way we’d ever see anything like that If the Archie staff hired a bunch of yaoi fangirls to do one sonic comic, The result? They’d just get bitchslapped and thrown out the door for making a comic similar to most of the artwork we see here on Derpibooru today which involves Braeburn, Caramel, and Big Macintosh for obvious reasons.

I still wouldn’t count out, Dan Parent (who writes for Keller) got great praise, so Archie has incentive to expand this diversity beyond their core line.

Okay.. you’ve proven your point on the existence of homosexuality in the Archie series, but I highly doubt in any of the Sonic Archie comic series will have a homosexual character ever for 2 reasons: 1. It’s pointless 2. I have not seen one sonic character in the comics show any affection for anyone with the same gender.
 
The day Archie brings in a homosexual sonic character is the day when Rainbow Dash shows any female love affection on the show or in the IDW comics, Which is never.
 
Look, I don’t hate gays in general. I’m even friends with a lesbian at my high school. :/  
I just think having them in a kid’s show/comic is not needed for anything.

Actually, word of god, and a bit in one of the (insert multiple of five) Years Later series has him in a relationship with quite possibly the only other gay character, who wasn’t introduced until then.

That doesn’t make any logical sense in the slightest. He’s a politician in the archie comics and did tech support before he damaged his back. And so what if he’s a Purple Walrus, that’s not good enough of a reason WHY he seems gay to you, unless you explain and prove it.
