She is so much like Marik Istar.

Probably a mistake Celestia greatly regretted, and might have some influence to how she treats Twilight as a student.
My HC: Remember how Lesson Zero showed one of Twilight’s flaws being OCD and crazy studious? What if something like that happened to Sunset, except Sunset’s flaw is a need for attention and love kinda like Rainbow Dash. She went crazy from praise withdrawal since ponyville was a-ok, but wasn’t stopped like Twilight was? Celestia got mad, Sunset got mad back and then quit.
(Probably has some holes in this HC; I just now made it up)

Emerald Ray and baby Skyla had speculation, but not to Sunset’s level. And because of that I like Sunset even more :3
Yeah, it was so strange. Especially how it was the toy that was introduced before the movie even appeared. Makes her real special in relation to other characters. (I’m not aware of any other characters going through such changes in the fandom.)
