I tried watching one episode of this parody. One episode. Didn’t liked it, never came back to it again. But on the other hand, I probably shouldn’t’ve started with Foaly Matripony.

You make a great point. Dark humor isn’t for everyone. I never cared for it, so it’s no big surprise I don’t much care for FIW. (Except for Sweetie Bot. :D She is the only part I really loved about it.)  
So I concede to our differences and part like a gentleman.

Well you are seeing it wrong. FiW is made by a fan for the fans. Is not an insult to the show but a subversion. We are not disrespecting the show by watching it. We just have a dark sense of humor the show will never in a million years cater to.
 
You don’t like Friendship is Witchraft? Great. Dark comedy is not for everyone. But it doesn’t make those who do less of a MLP fan than you.

I do have spite for FIW, but I have more of a curiosity. I tried watching it, yet I never found one joke that made me laugh. Not one scene that made me smile.  
I was just awestruck on how anyone could twist such lovable characters into such horrid people.
 
The other fact is that FIW doesn’t act like an abridged series should. An abridged series either makes fun of a character trait or (like Code Ment) Just act silly and hilarious.  
FIW doesn’t do that. It twists it around and I just never got how that it could come to be or how it became popular.
 
And that MOV. series? Never watched it, never will.

That’s funny. I felt the same way for a time when I read Cupcakes and its spinoffs. Fan work actually helped me move past it.

I apologize for being so douchey, I really do. It’s just the first piece of fan material that made me start to feel disillusioned by the whole brony community. It made me angry enough to want to quit entirely. I still haven’t, and I try my best to ignore this, but in the end, it still bothers me.
 
Hell, I tried again, and it still pissed me off. And seeing it so respected, despite blatantly being insulting to the show itself, just makes me hate it all the more. And I’ll never see it like that.
 
I watch this show too feel good, because the environment in the show is good. I don’t want to be surrounded by negativity with this franchise.

And again comedy comes from misery. Just because I find it funny that they use Spike as a lighting rod doesn’t mean I don’t like Spike. Is just a joke.

Parody doesn’t always have to be lighthearted, especially when the source material is already so. It makes sense that a parody of it would have to go the opposite direction, albeit so far.

I look at the .MOV series as overhyped gross out humour with maybe 1, 2 jokes tops that are remotely funny. Those being the “Everypony” conversation, and the R-Dash 5000. Other than that, it’s like FiW. Overhyped and cruel.
