Yeah, I have to agree with you there, in that it seemed to bend the characters to meet the narrative.
This shit hasn’t been light hearted romance at any point. It’s just a another mediocre story by author that desperately tries to write a tear jerking story, but constantly fails by making all the characters completely unsympathetic.
Maybe it means that the caverns, while covering a large area, in any “room” are really small?
Like a labyrinth, covering large area, but the immediate area is small.
