Description
Seriously, her “plan” was the equivalent of a human scientist getting teleported to Equestria and devoting their time to manipulating the Crusaders… all supposedly with the goal of raising an army.

I wish I could know why was she such a huge jerk in the first film, as well as what happened between EG and RR so I could understand her character better.
However, I remember what happened when Starlight was given a tragic past and I’m afraid of it.
I’m with mixed feelings here.
@ClownDicks
well, she WAS an unrepentant sadist and she knew how to hide it… and there was nothing in the movie that suggested otherwise.
I would’ve loved to see her reform and redeem herself the same exact way Vegeta and Peridot have – too bad she was fucking brainwashed by the Elements of Harmony. she could have learned there was indeed another way of becoming an effective leader, but alas.
Sadists don’t work their way into Celestia’s good graces.
Oooh, I get it now. I think the most reasonable expalination to this, would be that she just crossed the portal earlier (assuming that 30 moons earlier the Elements were already moved to Canterlot). If not that, then it leaves us with 3 days to find the Elements in Everfree. Well, if she’d catch a convenient train to ponyville…
She didn’t know that and she didn’t have to know it. It was a bluff, remember?
As for the other thing… yeah. Better movies than Equestria Girls have gotten away with big honking plot holes, so I’m not too broken up by it, but yeah. As far as Sunset Shimmer would have known at the time, the Elements of Harmony were still in the middle of the Everfree Forest. Can a pony even get from Canterlot (where she would have assumed the portal led) to Everfree and back in three days?
Dunno what do you mean. The portal leading to that magic mirror opened. She entered intending to steal the element of magic (crown). She knew about the crown and where portal leads before (it’s always that mirror, it isn’t shifting entances or something as I understood) She stole the crown, and got back. The end.
Probably the same way that she knew that she could destroy an interdimensional portal with a sledgehammer.
I said how did she know an important magic thingy would be coming by the other end of the portal within a timeframe that would allow her to grab it?
She had to have known somebody was going to come after her, seeing who she bungled the stealth plan and got in a hoof fight with the crown’s owner.
Umm, her goal was one of the elements of harmony. Twilight had nothing to to with it.
And she was supposed to know Twilight would be coming with Magic… how?
I dunno. The way Celestia describes “[upsetting] the balance of this alternate world,” it sounds more like a Prime Directive thing than a divide-by-zero thing. Spacetime should be fine. Still, there’s no way Sunset’s Zerg rush would stand a chance against the final bosses of Equestria.
if she genuinely cares about the grunts, that is.
Plus, who says thry’d be worse off as pony captives
(Wait, scratch that, she’d more likely screw herself and everybody/pony else over thrice simply by creating the imbalance the mane6 without Twi were avoiding in the first place by staying in Horsietopia (then again, is the CE part of Equestria?)).
Well done Sunset, you done goof’d with the fabric of space, time and reality. Hope you’re happy
So.. basically every Fire Emblem level that requires you to keep shitty green units alive through it?
@Background Pony
Chroo, add to that, that they’d be showing up right when Celestia, Luna, and 5 of the mane 6 are waiting for them, and they’d have a pretty hard time adjusting, even if they outnumber the native pwnees in the room. It would be entirely up to Sunset Satan to carry them through combat.
@Background Human
I’m not sure about that. If they were thinking on there own then most defiantly, however as a mindless slave they would not be thinking “how do I do this” they would just do it.
Also considering that A) once everyone she had under her control ( she says teenagers but more then likely it was everyone in the school including Celestia and Luna ) went threw the portal they would have turned into there Equestria counterparts, B) She would most likely powered them up by turning them into demons like she did with Snips and Snails, and C) Since she possessed the Element of Magic the other 5 Elements are useless, plus her army would have over run the Crystal Castle in a surprise attack before they could warn the citizens and have them power the Crystal Heart.
So ya if it wasn’t for the fact that the Element of Magic was still somewhat connected to Twilight and those that helped create it ( even if they are parallel versions of them ) Sunset’s plan was more or less solid.
I miss that we didn’t see Cadance and Shining Armor throwing each other across the dance floor.
Remember how awkward Twilight was when she first crossed over? I doubt her “army” would even be able to stand up straight after going through the portal, let alone fight!
