Needless to say, the aftermath of Tirek’s attack nearly caused her to lose her bucking mind.
 
Given the way these things tend to twist, though, I’d worry less about blank flanks and more about Starlight Glimmer, and any who might choose to follow her. They may have an equals sign placeholder, but in spirit their flanks are blankest of all. (Except for Starlight, she’s just a hypocrite.)

Don’t a lot of statues not have cutie marks carved in? It might not be a living pony, but a crafted one, such as one of Rarity’s mannequins. Perhaps Rarity is working with some material that Diamond Tiara is allergic to, and when she grabs the dress off the mannequin and tries it on, she suffocates?

Biblically speaking, I do ponder; does the book of Exodus say to not go fortune-telling (or believing) all because of stuff like this? It also says to not go interpreting omens and I know what happened one time when there was just an eclipse going on…
 
I don’t have a link in this comment but I read somewhere that a bunch of people thought the world was going to blow up (so to speak) all because of an eclipse. (Ignorance.) A king even went and executed people because of it, therefore making “The end of the world” happen. Isn’t there also a quote such as “The thing I have greatly feared has come upon me” in the book of Job?
