Lol, that got jossed pretty hard.
Well I just based it off seeing Sweetie Belle’s house and assuming that Rarity grew up there too
Well it’s a house actually. That might not be where Rarity grew up but it is a better guess than Çanterlot since Rarity was seen going to the Ponyville school as a filly.
Have you SEEN where Rarity grew up? I don’t think a cottage by the lake with PIGS is a wealthy place to live
It’s been shown that she can’t hold onto a gem or even look at one for more than twenty minutes without using it in some spontaneous design. Not only does she seem to be obsessive compulsive but her OCD is often exhibited in two interesting ways aside from an obsessive fear of dirt and preference for order and tidiness: compulsive generosity and compulsive creativity. Also her accent was learned. It’s no more natural to her than a French accent is to me.
Not every person with a fancy accent was born into wealth.
You don’t have to be wealthy to go on vacation all the time. Many retirees like to travel regardless of economic background. My parents like to have trips around every three months and they’re retired blue collar workers. They made a few wise investments but they’re far from rich.
Rarity has a few wealthy clients but that doesn’t necessarily means she’s a huge financial success. “fancy” dresses aren’t necessarily “expensive” to make. You’re paying for the design and the name when it comes to clothing, not the material. For the most part, Rarity’s shop is almost always empty from what we’ve seen aside from business she gets during holidays. Wealthy clients or not, I don’t think she’s rolling in money right now.
The bullies said that.
I saw that one, they said she was kicked out.
No, they say she dropped out.
Rainbow didn’t drop out, she was expelled. Fluttershy dropped out… literally.
only reason I see Rarity as higher up there is because of the type of clients we see her getting. Which are high class well known ponies. She also seams to be the only place in Ponyville that sells fancy dress. Lets not forget that her parents are always on vacation. That could be that they only really have to take care of one child which spends a lot of her time with Rarity anyways.
@Prof.NightJack
Sorry, I just totally misread it.
Actually, I said the exact opposite.
>The big guy seriously approves of
>approves
Where in his comment did you get that he said “disapproves”?
Just re-watched the flashback in “Games Ponies Play”; where do you get the idea that the pony with Rainbow Dash (father/brother/whatever) disapproves of her interest in sports?
Applejack claims the farm barely keeps it’s head above water during the winter season so I doubt she’s wealthy.
Rarity is a business owner but that doesn’t necessarily means she’s wealthy. She may barely break even with her sales and is established as still trying to build a respectable list of clientele fashion wardrobe.
Twilight I might be able to see as wealthy if only because she comes from Canterlot which is seen to be home to large population of wealthy and aristocratic ponies.
Considering the animals would go extinct without constant care, I believe it’s safe to assume that it is government funded. After all, if animals taking care of themselves is unnatural, then that basically says that they are literally on the verge of extinction.
If Applejack is wealthier than average, it must be a recent occurrence, as “The Ticket Master” had her worrying about paying for Granny Smith’s hip operation and “The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000” had the farm dependent on cider sales to just stay solvent.
Because Equestria is just like the US in that regard.
