Description
The coronation of Princess Ika as ruler of the Overland islands, took place at Jawu Island on 2 of July 2007. Princess Ika had ascended the throne after her mother, Queen Australis had retired due to health issues. Although this was a big milestone in Ika’s life, this wouldn’t have happened without some controversy…
Princess Ika was born in 29 of May 1995 In Kebebasan, Summer Island, Overland. She has a little brother named Borealis and she had a little sister named Siarah, who unfortunately passed at age 3. Princess Ika wasn’t relatively out in public much as her mother, Queen Australis wanted Ika and Borealis to live more private lives since they were only kids. This would go on for years. However, on 2 of July 2007, everything would change.
On this very day, Princess Ika would be appointed as the new ruler of the Overland because her mother was unable to rule due to her health issues. Since Ika is the eldest child of Australis, she would be the successor. The coronation wouldn’t happened until noon. Unfortunately, the coronation had to be moved to Luna Town, Jawu Island because there were floods going on in Summer Island. Of course Australis invited some other rulers to Ika’s coronation including Rainshine, Queen Novo, The King and Queen of Abyssinia, Dragon Lord Torch and some other rulers from nearby countries. They all came to the coronation because they’re all apart of the tropical alliance.
Princess Ika’s coronation went well and many overlanders and other creatures were happy and cheered for her. However, not everyone was happy. Ika’s coronation was controversial for one reason; her age. Even though Princess Ika was only 12 years old at the time of the coronation, she was still Australis’s eldest child and her successor. Some creatures didn’t like the fact that a child was a ruler to the Overland and that if Australis did really retire, that her 3 husbands should’ve been the successors instead.
Despite the controversy, Princess Ika was proud and glad to be ruler so that she can add some changes and deal with issues within the Overland.
