Pinkie is especially hugging Porygon because she sympathizes with it for being banned from appearing in any Pokémon anime episodes aside from the Japanese episode that caused hundreds of seizure attacks.
And it wasn’t even Porygon’s fault the flashing strobes in that episode happened.
With Porygon being an incredibly underrated Pokemon, I always felt that it deserves to be hugged by lovable characters like Pinkie.
