So here we are, another winter, another snowy drawing. At this point, these things are customary to me. I always draw this kind of picture this time of year, even if there is no snow around. Seems that’s going to be the case this Christmas. The first days of December looked promising but by now almost all of it has thawed. What a shame or maybe I should feel lucky it’s getting warmer? Means I’m going to save something up on heating.

In an earlier draft, I’ve wanted to draw her as an alicorn but as you can see, I’ve settled on an ordinary young pegasus mare. Neither a little foal nor an alicorn. Personally, I think a lot of the tall alicorn pictures I’ve seen take something away from her adorableness.

I suppose I should wish you all Merry Christmas but I never was one for customary holidays and celebrations. I just wish for those quite winter days blanketed by snow.
