Bad End AU: More than just a spare.

Baby’s first time trying to draw anthro everyone! : D i think it came out pretty good! And i never miss a chance to draw some pretty clothes too haha. The lyrics i used for the mini comic are from the song “More than just a spare” : D

I want to start exploring the characters of the AU a bit more, starting with Astral!, I had just noticed that in her family she is the only one that isn’t an alicorn, making her stand out but be overshadowed at the same time. Not being the heir or an alicorn, she tends to be ignored by most of the elite in favor of her older sister Spectra, this doesn’t make Astral jealous or envious at all in fact the sisters are incredibly close ,both bringing out the best in each other. Astral understands that is her sister duty to be the best princess she can be for their kingdom, and even if she is also a princess she doesn’t have as much responsibilities as her older sister, giving her more freedom.

Astral is incredibly brilliant and curious , making research in both good and dark magic but she tends to bite more than what she can chew, she has a thousand unfinished projects and a thousand more she can’t wait to start on, ranging from figuring out a flying spell that works properly to canalizing the magical powers of other creatures. Astral hopes that one day (night?) after a great discovery she finally will get wings of her own and become an alicorn…just like her mother Twilight did.

Her other “secret” research which relates to alicornhood is more frowned upon by her peers and by her own mother, Nightmare Moon. She knows that both of her mother’s ascended and became alicorns, and at some point her mother Twilight and Lady Mi Amore Cadenza lost their powers in a devastating accident, but the cause isn’t exactly documented, or why Twilight and her friends were so venerated at some point, or were there more alicorns before? Everypony tells her not to worry so much about the past, but she knows there is something missing in there, even if no one believes her.
