Friendship is Fresh
Thanks to a certain promo video for S7 of MLP(“Fresh Princess of Friendship”), I was inspired to create this piece. Now, making sketches of these ponies standing on their hind legs was an interesting route to take, for I’ve only drawn a few ponies like this such as Octavia and a few others; it was good practice nonetheless. While I did the sketches I had thought of making some additional changes. For example, I gave Pinkie her hat and necklace from “Testing, Testing, 1,2,3” and added Starlight with the others. The background took a lot of time to think of and make. I narrowed my options down to splatter effects and gradient effects and I chose to use gradients with each of the mane seven’s cutie marks on the multi-colored floor. This was a fun project and I’m glad I was able to put my own spin on it.
