[Proof of Concept Mod] Play as Velvet in Story Mode + Story Mode Continuation Project
This is a proof of concept mod for playing as Velvet in Story Mode, containing new dialogue, modded graphics and levels. It begins where Chapter 1 finished, in the Alpake Highlands of Chapter 1 Part 3. All gameplay including platforming is fully playable, though with a few glitches with Snowball Toss and Ice Cyclone.
If you would like to contribute to this project, please post or PM. We are looking for reaction portraits of Stronghoof, Vixen, Blitzen, Tianhuo, Pom, Shanty, High Priestess Lovecraft, The Empress and Pomfy. NPC unicorn and longma sprites. Huoshan and Baah tileset and backgrounds. Music, effects and voice acting is also appreciated.
We plan on completing Chapter 2 to 7. But without the official story script, we instead have to use the next most entertaining option, improv. Anyone writes what the characters do next and everyone votes on whether to accept it. This way we can replace single author canon with community consensus, and consumption with community participation. Hopefully this can prove to be as entertaining as the original script.

Yeah, I’m sure they wanted to keep working on story mode, but when the money dries up and you’re fired, that’s not really an option anymore.
Well, to be fair, it’s not a case of ‘They don’t want to’, it’s more a case of ‘They can’t do because they were screwed over’
Not yet; I’ve been collecting my thoughts on the matter by reading over his TFH work. I do intend to say something about it though.
In short though, he somewhat dumbs down the characters to an average, taking away a level of personality from them. That personality being one the main things that makes the characters so interesting.
Characterization? Have you given that feedback to Galgus? (Either as a comment on Fimfiction/AO3, or on Discord?)
Could work. He definitely does have the most expansive work published for TFH, though I do think his characterization could use some work.
I’d be happy to contribute with that type of thing, and some world-building of my own. TFH deserves the best, and we ought to remind corporate suits that they can’t ever kill our passion.
I wonder if Galgus’s story can be used as a template for the plot.
