I keep thinking of what could have been in G5 and I’m a little sad so many script ideas didn’t make it to the cut. Little Misty, believing in her hero who ‘rescued’ her from the dark could’ve been such an interesting angle. Maybe she pledged her loyalty back then - maybe Opaline considered they could have been friends.
You ever love a show because of what could have been? Objectively, I found G5 frustratingly base level. I’m not upset it’s aimed more at kids than G4, because I love mlp for what it is as a kids show. But I am frustrated we didn’t get closure or expansion for characters like Opaline! What do you think?

I hate that Hasbro didn’t renew MYM and later proceeded to cancel TYT when it still had tons of episodes left!
Imagine how cool it would have been to see Opaline break out of the Together Tree and sought revenge on the Mane 6. Or having full length episodes about Sunny’s mom, Skyros, Allura’s story, and so much more!

always loved sympathetic/kind opaline. i think she cares about misty a little bit, and could be a lovely friend/mother figure if the g5 mane 6 tried to help her
