Hey everyone,
I thought it was high time to bring back that small and adorable little lady, who in my AU, canonically lives on Earth in the capital of the United Kingdom; London.
Yes, little Brooklyn Blackout- the diminutive, well spoken, and ever-friendly baker who specialises in cakes of the chocolate variety.
Once a resident of Trottingham, she, along with a fair number of ponies and representatives of the other species of Equis, emigrated to London in the initial wave of specially approved and heavily vetted immigrants after the opening of the permanent portals to Earth.
This 32 year old mare, named after a type of cake, owns and runs a small but successful baker’s/confectioner’s shop in Covent Garden, and only uses the very finest ingredients sourced from back in Equestria. Methodical, pragmatic, and utterly precise in her crafting of a perfect cake- Brooklyn’s shop, now with additional Equestrian and human staff on the roster, has received rave reviews from customers- but is yet to garner attention from more professional reviewers as of the writing of this article.
Her natural inquisitiveness and curiosity regarding humans and their many varying customs, languages, and cultures were some of the main reasons that she was selected for the immigration program. By all accounts, Brooklyn has adapted very well to life across the Veil, and fits in well with the locals due to her similar accent. For those who would be interested in such a thing, her particular sponsor was Princess Cadance during the selection process.
That last fact lead to some raised eyebrows when Brooklyn later openly came out as a xenophile, not that Brooklyn actually cares about the opinions of others regarding her sexual preferences. Princess Cadance herself said nothing when she was told about this, only grinning and giving a knowing wink.
Though currently technically single, Brooklyn is currently in initial stages of dating a local man who yet remains unidentified to us at the Bureau.
