In retrospect, I almost regret watching Squid Game, because it was sooo good – pure unadulterated cynicism wrapped in slick visuals and almost never-ending mutual back-stabbing of the “heroes”. And that’s topped with wannabe-noble phrases like “everybody has equal chance here”, when in reality, the games are mere entertainment for rich fucks. No other series I’ve seen compares after that, not even The Handmaid’s Tale, Black Mirror or The Hunger Games. I fear Squid Game season 2 won’t come close.
