This comment section isn’t the only evidence I have to back up my believes. But I don’t have to explain myself to you, the important thing here is that the artist doesn’t get discouraged by it. That is the only true message I want to shine through here.
This is a good drawing, out of the other images uploaded under this artist’s name, I think I like this one the best. Looks a lot better than most grimdark images uploaded here for sure. It’s a shame the derpibooru audience isn’t mature enough to appreciate it.
People if you don’t like “cruel” or “awful” things then why did you unfilter grimdark in the first place? This one isn’t even that hardcore.
It’s sad to see this drawing getting such a negative responds, there is nothing wrong with it. It seems to me that they don’t like it just because it’s a little grimdark, and brings a defeating feeling to their happy headcannon.

It seems that the title “Coward” means that she was too scared to die, and just used her wings at the last moment. It also explains her overwhelming self-shame.
That’s… Interesting. Fluttershy is fragile under pressure, which results either in rage explosions or further falling her own fragility and helpness, combined with fear.
Yet she is a coward, and even if she fell into a hole she couldn’t leave, her fear will stop her, hating herself more for not doing it.
Endlessly dark and unlikely in most circumstances, but hey, interesting to talk about.

Well, there are no questions because no one asked you anything. Anyways, I think there are some liberties an artist can take in portraying a scene.
