Description
Meet Pemma, another Sombraverse character I finally got some art for! w
Pemma is the best friend of and right-hand mare to the tyrant king himself. They shared most of their formative years in the same orphanage, where the very young Pemma was very much a wallflower after having lost her parents. She would often get picked on by the other kids, and the young and virtuous Sombra was always there to defend her. Thanks to his protection and example, Pemma was able to come back into her own eventually and start rebuilding herself for adulthood. When Sombra took over the Empire, she was there as one of the only few who knew and accepted Sombra.
Pemma holds a deep trust and loving bond for Sombra. Nothing intimate, of course, but an unconditional love all the same. Near the beginning of any roleplay, Sombra is among the few only ties Pemma has and cherrishes, though she may not express it that much to him directly. It does come through in her undying loyalty, and she will often question any debatable decision Sombra makes to ensure he stays within the realm of reason.
Sombra rules and runs the Empire only in name and title. Pemma, his faithful assistant, is the real driving force keeping everything together behind the curtains. She handles most of the paperwork, keeps a schedule, prioritizes tasks, et cetera. For as much as she loves Sombra, she prefers that he stays as far away from pen and paper as possible. Cunning as he is, Sombra has terrible penmanship and is woefully underprepared for the chores of King. So long as he desires to be king, she is the one putting action to his word. The job is certainly not without its benefits. She gets to keep company with her best friend, and she even catches the eye of an equally noble prince during or after the settling of tensions~
