I’m not arguing - I’m suggesting :) And I was scared shitless playing, for example, Dino Crisis on PSX :D
Things with little features or heavily pixellated crap, tends to make you wonder what it is. Your flies out of control. And the 8bit sound of the NES and GBC gives an eerie feeling that almost no modern soundchips can achieve.
Oh, really? Play some Penumbra, we’ll see how the epic new graphic is not scary. ;)
Some people described the gameplay to be a crazy man’s golf game.
That game is flat-out considered not to exist by Capcom. It’s too bad, too, because it really wasn’t that bad considering it was on Gameboy Color and all.
But it had great music for a GBC game. And it’s pretty creepy, and not a bad game.
I always find the older games with their more primitive graphics and sounds more creepier than any of those modern “horror” games with their fancy and obvious sound and graphics.
Nothing bats 8bit in creepiness.
